Objective: For providing a basis that it can help to study the vascular of human cerebrum and the function of hippocampus and entorhinal cortex, for providing a preference that it can help to diagnose diseases of them, the author observed the microvascular morphology and structure of them, and compared with their microvascular density by infants. Methods: The fresh brain specimens in which dead within 24 hours, 8 from infants about one and half a year, were fixed, embedded by celloidin, sliced up, stained by alkaline phosphate enzyme, observed under optical microscope, calculated with stereological method. The microvascular density of hippocampus and entorhinal cortex was analyzed quantitatively and the microvascular morphology was studied qualitatively. Results: There is marked distinction between entorhinal cortex and hippocampus, between entorhinal cortex and pyramidal layer of hippocampus, between entorhinal cortex and pyramidal layer of CA1 and CA3 of hippocampus .The microvascular density of entorhinal cortex is the highest. Some vasa are observed in alveus that they are parallel with nerve fiber. They are wider and companied with branches. Conclusion: This result could be relative with function and activity of them. The hippocampus is more vulnerable than entorhinal cortex.
