Objective: Based on the cure of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP), investigating the regulating function of proto-oncogene c-jun what has played on proliferation of intestine mucosa cells, the effect of growth hormone (GH) what has played on c-jun's expression and the possible mechanism that GH cure the gut barrier dysfunction induced by SAP.Methods: The models of SAP rat was induced by retrograde injection with 5% sodium taurocholate into biliopancreatic duct in rats. Divide 30 male S-D rats into three groups at random: sham operation group (SO, n=6), SAP group (SAP, n=12) and GH cure group (SAP+GH, n=12). Give a hypodermic with GH liquor at the inner part of hind leg after GH cure group's operation, dosage of 0.75U/kg in weight. The other two groups inject 5ml NS at the same part. The AMS, pathologic changes of the pancreas tissue and the tip ileum, image analysis and the expression of c-jun mRNA are observed. Results: Changes in pathology: In SO group, no changes have been found in pancreas tissue and ileum mucosa; in SAP group, typical pathologic changes of pancreatitis such as hemorrhage, edema and necrosis have been found; ileum mucosa have been thinner, villus has had edema and thickened, and its height has shortened. Some of villus has ruptured and lost. However, in SAP+GH group, the pathologic changes are not as great as it appeared in SAP group. Changes of ileum mucosa thick: in SAP group, the mucosa thick is less than that in SO group, the discrepancy has statistical significance, P<0.05; but in SAP+GH group, the mucosa thick, after treating by GH, has an obvious increase compared to SAP group, P<0.05. Changes of AMS: SAP group, obviously, has more than SO group does, P<0.01; SAP+GH group, however, has lower AMS than SAP group does, P<0.05. Changes of c-jun mRNA expression: the expression amount in SAP group is less than it in SO group, P<0.05; in...
