The optimal prescription of CET cataplasm was obtained by using orthogonal design with NP-700, Ca(OH)2 and tartaric acid. At last we got the best proportion was 5:1:1. We examined the relations of the water content, the glutinosity and the release in vitro. The results showed that along with the reducing of the water content, the glutinosity would wear off and the release in vitro would slower gradually. The release pattern of CET cataplasm followed Weibull distribution. The permeation tests through rat skin demonstrated that the CET cataplasm exhibited zero-order kinetics. We selected SD rat homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) to research the pharmacodynamics of CET cataplasm. The results showed that CET cataplasm could inhibitted allergic reaction. We studied the pharmacokinetics after a single dose of cataplasm administration. The results showed that CET cataplasm could decrease the maximum serum concentration, prolong the peak time and extend the MRT.
