Objective:To analyze the relation of nipple discharge and breast diseases, and direct the clinical diagnosis and treatment of nipple discharge.Methods: Fiberoptic ductoscopy are performed to 200 patients with the pathological nipple discharge caused by mammary disease.the age,course of diseases,quantity of nipple discharge,quality of nipple discharge, the number of discharging orifice,sickened breast and exhibition of the duct are recorded and analyzed.I observe the characteristic exhibition of the intraductal changes under breast fiberoptic ductoscopy,do statistics and analyze the relation of nipple discharge and intraductal lesion,especially the difference of the intraductal space-occupying lesion and no-space-occupying lesion.Results:Ductal carcinoma are found in 4 cases(2%), intraductal papilloma in 27 cases(13.5%), intraductal papillomatosis in 19 cases(9.5%), ductal ectasia in 38 cases(19%),ductal inflammation in 100 cases(50%),ductal epitheliosis in 12 cases(6%). Of the intraductal space-occupying lesion and no-space-occupying lesion,the course of the former is longer than the latter. The quantity of nipple discharge of the former is larger than the latter.Of the former,the bloody and many orifices nipple discharge are seen mostly.But of the latter,non-bloody and single orifice nipple discharge are seen mainly.The two groups have significance of difference by statistics. Conclusion: The course of disease,quantity of nipple discharge,number of discharging orifice,quality of nipple discharge and sickened breast are the important references in diagnosis and treatment of the patients with pathological nipple discharge.Nipple discharge is seen mainly in patients between 30 and SO years old.
