To evaluate the application of ultrasound guided Mammotome minimally invasive biopsy system in the treatment of breast benign diseases. To establish it at the position of the mammary glands minimally invasive surgery. Methods The operations and biopsy for breast multifibroadenoma 43,breast abscess 12, accessory breast 9,gynecomastia 7 and mastopathy 30 were performed by ultrasound guided Mammotome minimally invasive biopsy system in China-Japan Union Hospital between February 2004 and April 2005. To record in-operation , to visit after-operation, and to go the normal regulations surgical operation to compare.To evaluate result for diagnosis and treatment of reast diseases by Mammotome minimally invasive biopsy system. Results All the cases were excised by the Mammotome system. The duration of opetations for breast multifibroadenoma was 42.5min(14～60min). The times of incision were 94 and the duration of opetations for accessory breast and gynecomastia was 66min (28～140min). The times of incision were 38 (17～56)and the duration of opetations for breast abscess in lactation was 37.3min by 8G. The times of incision were 15 (7～24)and the duration of opetations for breast abscess out lactation was 16.8min by 11G. The times of incision were 60(39～108)and the duration of opetations for mastopathy was 32 min (20～56min)by 8G .A total of lesions had been resected and confirmed by clinical pathology.
