Study On The Lung Function And It's Influence Factors Of The Third Grade Students Of Middle School In Hefei City

Objective To analyze the change of the lung function and some factors affecting the lung function of the third grade students of junior middle school in Hefei city.Methods The third grade students of four middle schools in Hefei city were chosen and separated into the class composed of top students and common class. 452 students of four schools were elected by cluster sampling. According to the questionnaire and the value of the lung function, the family characteristic, lung function and some factors to affect the lung function of these students were analyzed by the software of SPSS 11.0.Results In the comparison on the values of the lung function between the students of the two classes, FVC, FEV_1.0, and V₂₅ of schoolboys of key class were better than those of common class (P<0.01); At the same time, FEV_1.0, V₂₅, V₃₀, and V₇₅ of schoolgirls of key class were also better than those of common class (P<0.01). There are no difference between the two classes in the average values of height, weight, and age; Compared with the key class, the students of common class spent more time on tutorship, received more learning burden and mental stress, but less in physical exercise, because of heavy learning burden (P<0.01); The time of study by themselves and tutorship after school of common class students was longer than that of the later. But the time of physical exercise of common class students was less than that of key class students. Some factors to affect the lung function in four schools were analyzed by linear regression. Height, weight, and age are essential factors to affect the lung function. But passive smoking is a factor to affect the lung function besides mentality factor and physical exercise (P<0.05).
