Clinic Studies On Acute Pharyngitis Treated By Jinju Liyan Troches

Acute Pharyngitis is one kind of acute phlegmasia happened in pharynx mucosa , tissue beneath mucosa and lymphatic tissue ,which is one part of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URI) and usually is a deuteropathy of Acute Rhinitis and Acute Tonsillitis , which is similiar to Sore Throat Due To Wind And Heat in traditional Chinese medicine.We selected 48 cases of Acute Pharyngitis patients in the department of otolaryngology of the first auxiliary hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April to June in 2001 and divided them into therapeutic group (24 cases) and control group (24 cases) randomly. To evaluate the clinical effect and the safety of JinJu LiYan Troches in the treatment of Acute Pharyngitis .The results showed that 7 cases were recovery result (29.17%), obvious effect in 13 cases (54.17%). Total effective rate was 91.67% .Also 24 cases treated by YinHuang Hanhuapian as control group. The results showed that 3 cases were recovery result (13.50%),obvious effect in 7 cases (29.17% ).Total effective rate was 79.17% . Compared two groups,the group of JinJu LiYan Troches was effective obviously than YinHuang Hanhuapian (P < 0.05), and no side effect was observed during this clinical trial.The results suggested that JinJu LiYan Troches was an effective , convenient and safe drug for treatment of Acute Pharyngitis .
