Objective: to study the best index of the excess & deficiency syndrome differentiation of TCM in patients with malignant tumor. Methods: we have measured the level of 101 cancer patients' and 100 persons of control group's ApoAi, ApoBioo and the value of A1/B100 and CD3,CD4,CD8 and the value of CD4/CD8 and NK cells and IgG,IgA,IgM and divided these patients into three groups according to the clinical criterion of differentiation of TCM as the stressed deficiency group, the stressed excess group and both deficiency &excess group(D&E group).Advancing notable test to all variables according to data of collection before using to method of stepwise discriminatory analysis to set up discriminant function. The results: 1) The serum level of ApoAi, ApoBioo and the value of A1/B100 and CD3,CD4 ,CD8 and the value of CD4/CD8 and NK cells and IgG, IgA in the cancer patients is obviously different with that of the control group (p<0.01). 2) Among the three groups of the cancer patients: in the apolipoprotein, the stressed deficiency group' ApoAi decrease obviously, the stressed excess group's ApoBioo increase significantly , the value of A1/B100 of the D&E group is obviously lower than that of the two other groups;in the immunity, the stressed deficiency group's CD3,CD4 decrease obviously , the NK cells of the D&E group decrease significantly .3) we use APOA1,APOB100,the value of ,CD3,CD4,CD8,the value of CD4/CD8, NK cells, IgG , IgA , IgM as variablesand only variables of APOA1, APOB100 to be reserved and found Fisher's linear discriminant functions, showing 62.4% of original grouped cases correctly classified. Conclusion: The serum level of APOA1, APOB100 can be used as the best index of the excess & deficiency syndrome differentiation of TCM in patients with malignant tumor.
