This research includes three parts: A retrospective analysis on anesthetization of 112 patients with obstructive jaundice; Pharmacokinetics of propofol administered by plasma target-controlled infusion in obstructive jaundice; and The influence of obstructive jaundice on keOs and EC50s of different effect-sites.Conclusions (1)The haemodynamics in patients with obstructive jaundice was more unsteady; (2)There is no significant difference between pharmacokinetics of obstructive jaundice patients and nonjaundiced patients; (3)There are different pharmacodynamic characteristic with different effect-site. The effect of propofol on BIS occurs more rapidly than its effect on MAP in each group. Obstructive jaundice has no effect on the rate of BIS reduction with increasing effect-compartment concentration during target-controlled infusion of propofol. But obstructive jaundice has significant effect on MAP.
