Objective: To observe the effects on gene expressions of Proinflammatory CytoKines (Interleukon-1, 6 and TNF-α) in serum of traumatic fracture patients after operations with TCM-CHUANGFU Decoctions. Methods: 60 fracture patients were divided equally into test group and control group at random. Both groups were given time-limited operations and functional exercises after operations. In addition, patients in Test group were taken TCM-CHUANGFU Decoctions (qd.) began within 12 hours after operations and the processes last for 5 days. In the early mornings of the last day before operations and the 1st and 5th day after the operations, all patients were abstracted 7ml blood from elbow veins before the breakfast. The serum concentrations of IL-1,6 and TNF-a were measured in ELISA way within 60 minutes. Results: The expression levels of IL-1, 6 and TNF-a of the test group were lower obviously than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions: TCM-CHUANGFU Decoction can restrain the expression levels of serum Proinflammatory Cytokines—IL-1, 6 TNF-α, control the inflammatory response, avoid the organs injuries of deficient blood and irrigation once more thereby reduce the operation complications.
