Objective: to identify the feature of the Multi Planar Reconstruction and Three-dimensional Images of Orbit Fracture and to evaluate the value of these images in diagnosing and operation of orbit fracture . Materials and methods: The patient population consisted of 85 cases with the orbit fracture due to trauma and to cases of none-orbit fracture from April,2001 to Oct,2004. The sample population was from 8-54Yeares old. There are 52 males and 33 females. More of the specimens (40 cases) had a history of major cranial or facial trauma. The sample population was scanned using PHILIPS MX8000 multi-slice spiral computerized tomography(MSCT) . MSCT was performed using the following technical parameters: paralleling OM,continuous slices from the superior aspect of the frontal sinus to the alveolar process of the maxilla,1.3mm collimation, pitch 0.6mm,and zoom=2.0,mAs=380,120KV,soft tissue algorithm. The spiral CT data was send to MXVIEW work station and multiplanar reconstructed in the coronal and sagittal planes at 2mm intervals with a thickness of 2mm,Three readers(are well participated in this study) determined the presence or absence of a fracture in orbit vegions of the facial sketon. Sensitivity and specificity were calculated to measure detection performance compressed between strain coronal and reconstructed coronal images and the rate of the 3D reconstructed image based operation projects according with the fact. Results: In the orbit readers were able to recognize the presence of fracture equally when interpreting. MPR and stain coronal images. There are 96.4% cases operation projects were to according with the fact. Discussion: The quality of the reconstructed...
