Objective: To study the effects of taurine magnesium coordination compound (TMC) against cesium chloride-induced arrhythmia and monophasic action potential (MAP) in rabbit heart. To observe the effects of TMC on refractory period and excitability of the isolated atrium from the rabbit heart and try to find out the mechanism of TMC antiarrythmic action.Methods:1. The early after-depolarization (EAD) model induced by using 1.5mmol/L cesium chloride ( 1 ml/kg) through intravenous administration in rabbits. The effects of TMC 20mg/kg, 40 mg/kg and 80 mg/kg were administrated intravenously. The onset, duration and incidence of ventricular premature (VP), MAP and ECG were simultaneous recorded in each group and compared with that of amidaron, magnesium sulfate and taurine.2.Couple-stimulation was used to characterize the effects of TMC on the refractory period of the isolated left atriums of rabbit that were cultivated in TMC 20 mg/kg, 40mg/kg and 80 mg/kg respectively.3. The isolated left atriums of rabbit were also used to study the effects of TMC on excitability after being cultivated in TMC 20 mg/kg, 40mg/kg and 80 mg/kg respectively.Results:1. TMC could significantly prolong VP onset in 20mg/kg (1.71±0.20min), 40mg/kg (2.51±0.21min), and 80mg/kg (0.85±0.13min) as...
