Objective: Because of the important role that the inflammation andimmunologic reaction played in the occurrence and progress of atherosclerosis and acute coronary syndromes, we measured the serum levels of inflammatory factors such as hs-CRP, MMP-1, sCD40Land VEGF in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Unstable Angina Pectoris (UAP), Stable Angina Pectoris (SAP) and in health control subjects, so as to investigate the correlation of these inflammatory factors with SAP, UAP, AMI. in the mean time to assess the clinical implications of these inflammation related factors in patients with ACS, while they are be respectively used and combined uesd.Method: 20 health control subjects and 68 patients including 22with AMI, 26 with UAP, 20 with SAPwere enrolled in the study, serum levels of hs-CRP, MMP-1, sCD40L and VEGF was determined by ELASA. Statistical evaluation was performed with SPSS 11.5 software. Before statistical evaluation, the normality and the homogeneity of variance of statistical data should be tested, Data were expressed as Mean±SD and compared by ANOVA, differences between groups were analyzed by SNK-q test, Correlation analysis were used by linear correlation analysis, Sensitivity and Specificity was compared by x~2test. Two-side P<0.05 was considered statistically significance.Result: Both patients with AMI and UAP showed elevated serumlevels of hs-CRP, MMP-1, sCD40L and VEGF compared with SAP and controls, high serum levels of VEGF was found in patients with SAP than in controls, and there was no statistically significance between patients...
