The Epidemical Study Of Rickettsia In Henan Province

Objective: Use the technology of immunology and molecular biology to find the proof on exiting of rickettsia in Henan Province, get the message of rickettsial distribute and sorting from the group level in Henan province, get the message of the baseline information and initial understand the state of rickettsial infection prevalence in henan province.Methods: Choose the typical area in henan province, collect blood serum of fever patients unknown origin in these area, the serum of mouse and the spleen of mouse. Using the technology of microimmunofluorescence (mIFA) to detect the IgG in the serum and using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) ,choosing the group specific primer pair to detect the rickettsia in the spleen of mouse. Results:1. We collect 500 blood serum of fever patients unknown origin altogether, mouse 476 , hedgehog 1 and badger 1.2. Detect the blood serum of unknown origin: there are 174 Rickettsia typhi IgG antibodies positive, positive rate is 34.8%; there are 75 Rickettsia prowazekii IgG antibodies positive, positive rate is 15%; there are 25 Rickettsia tsutsugamushi positive, positive rate is 5 %.3. Detect the blood serum of mouse: Coxiella burnetii IgG antibodies positive 25, positive rate is 18.51%, positive sample mainly is distributed in hills, wet area, mountain area; R.rickettsia IgG antibodies positive 23, positive rate is 17.04%, each living area distribution is same; R.prowazekii IgG antibodies positive 10, positive rate is 7.41%, positive sample mainly concentrate in hills, mountain area.4. Use PCR technology to detect mouse spleen: detect Rickettsia tsutsugamushi positive 3, distributes in Lingbao country and Runan country.Meaning: This research is the first time to detailed search the distribution and infectious condition of ricketssia in Henan Province. Through the research, firstly, we prove there is much special rickettsia in Henan province. Secondly, we understand the distribute of rickettsial natural focus, it is a reliable tool for next step isolation of pathogen, it is an evidence to detect and diagnose unknown and new rickettisal disease .At the same time we can improve the diagnostic standard for all medical staff. At last, we offer scientific evidence for prevention and control strategy.
