The Expression Of NF-кB And P-gp Protein In Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Objective: To observe the expression of nuclear transcription factor-кB and p-gp protein in the hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and corresponding non-cancerous adjacent tissues, try to approach the relationship between the two protein with clinic pathologic feature of patients with HCC . Methods:the expression of NF-кB and P-gp protein in 30 cases of HCC patients were examined immunohistochemically,taking 30 cases of corresponding non-cancerous adjacent tissues as control group. Results: NF-кB expression in 63.3%(19/30)cases of HCC tissues compared with 16.6(5/30) in non-cancerous adjacent tissues(P<0.05).expression of NF-кB correlated with tumor differentiation,AFP level of hepatocelluar carcinoma,no correlated with age,sex ,H BsAg,hepatocirrhosis .P-gp protein was detected in 83.3%(25/30) cases of HCC tissues compared with 30%(9/30) in non-cancerous adjacent tissues (P<0.05). but correlates closely with NF-кB(r=0.89 , P<0.05). Conclusion:1,The expression of NF-кB protein in HCC tissues suggests that it probably play an important role in the origin development and multidrug resistance of HCC.2,P-gp protein play an important role in the multidrug resistance of HCC . 3,Correlation of NF-кB and P-gp suggests they co-affect in the multidrug resistance of HCC.
