In recent years, the erythromycin, Roxithromycin, Clarithromycin et al as the representative of macrolides antibiotics, have been revealed to have the function of anti-inflammatory and immunoloregulation except the antimicrobial effection. it can suppress the expression of various inflammatory cytokines and reaction.Among them, the anti-inflammatory and immunoloregulation function of erythromycin already have some report at domestic and abroad, but the research of the anti-inflammatory and immunoloregulation function of the other members of macrolide antibiotics still have not detailed report. In order to investigate anti-inflammation and immunoloregulation action of Rox one step further, we plan to carry on relevant experiments, include such aspect of the spleen lymphocyte conversion ratio to observe the impact of Rox on cell-mediated immunity function of mouse in vivo and in vitro with abdominal cavity macrophage. With the method of in vivo induction and in vitro producing, detecte the production change of TNF-α and IL-8 of macrophage cell from mouse abdominal cavity with RJA detection. The result revealed that Rox could reduce lymphocyte conversion ratio with mouse spleen cells; inhibit the production of IL-8 in mouse macrophage cells; and decrease the production of TNF-a in mouse macrophage cells significantly. From the above-mentioned experimental results, we conclude that the anti-inflammation and immunoregulation of Rox may contribute by the inhibition of immune function and decreasing the production of some inflammation cytokines.
