Visual Field Of Diabetic Macular Edema

Objective : Knowing about the visual field of diabetic macular edema was helpful to detect and evaluate the therapeutic efficacy for diabetic macular edema. There was few data about t the visual field of diabetic macular edema. Because few people of diabetic macular edema had taken visual field. People can't get a good evaluation of diabetic macular edema for lack of advanced method in basic hospital .The purpose of this study was to detect the visual field of diabetic macular edema and to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy for diabetic macular edema. Methods:1. Design : It is a prospective study to investigate the visual field of diabetic macular edema using a specially device .2. Subjects: 65people were accepted at random in the experiment , 58 people who met the eligible criteria finished the detection . A group (32 subjects , 42-64 years , average 53.31 ± 10.93 years). B group (26 subjects , 42-61 years , average 51.43 ± 9.21 years).3. Statistic data :AU the subjects were performed visual field by premetry . The data were recorded and calculated as follows: mean sensitivity , mean defeat , sentivity standard deviation. The relationships detween visual field , Glu, HbAIC. and blood pressure.Results:1. A group is superior to B group in mean sensitivity , mean defeat , sentivity standard deviation. There was no significant difference among them between mlaes and females .2. The relation between mean sensitivity and Glu :The data demonstrated that no correlation was presented between mean sensitivity and Glu(r=-0.160, P=0.619). The relation between mean sensitivity and HbAIC: The data demonstrated that negative correlation was presented between mean sensitivity and HbAIC (r=-0.600, P=0.039) The relation between mean sensitivity and blood pressure: The data demonstrated that negative correlation was presented between mean sensitivity and blood pressure : (r=-0.661, p=0.019).Coclusions :The visual field of diabetic macular edema is a good meathod to detect and evaluate the therapeutic efficacy for diabetic macular edema.
