Because of its unique comfort and stability, implant denture has been widely accepted by the clinicians and patients since its introduction 30 years ago.In the 1960s, the theory of osteointegration, originated by Branemark, established the biological basis of modern implant dentistry. With the guidance of this theory, implant dentistry has been growing up toward mature, and becomes the vigorous and developed branch in dental field after researching and practicing for about 40 years.
