Objective: To review the clinical results of treating the finger skin defect with the link-pattern dorsal metacarpal flaps.Method: 9 cases of finger skin defects were treated by the link-pattern dorsal metacarpal flaps.Results: The operations of the 9 cases were without difficulty, and all flaps survived; the shapes and function of the fingers were satisfactory.Conclusion: The transplantation of the link-pattern dorsal metacarpal flap was a maneuverable way to repair the finger skin defect because of its simple operation and credible survivable ability.
