As a systemic science, it's important to study the acupuncture's function andmechanism for clinical diagnosis and research. Now the research on the acupunctureemphasizes on the experiment, but little on the electrical mechanism. With thedevelopment of chaos theory, it has been applied in most areas including biomedicalengineering. The research on the nerve cell excitation by electrical stimulation playsan important role in the fields of neuroscience, healing project and so on. Theapplication of chaos theory to it can be divided into two main groups. One is toanalyse the experiment data using the methods of chaos theory, the other is toestablish the neuron model and investigate the dynamical behaviors of nerve cell. This paper we first bring the concept of "quantitative acupuncture", study itsfunction on physiological modulation, model the electrical signals propagation systemin biology, physics and mathematics. Then we study the synchronization betweenmulti coupled neurons in external electrical simulation. The synchronization betweenmulti coupled neurons plays an important role in revealing communication pathwaysin neural system. Based on the previous cable model, the model of multi neuronscoupled with gap junction is established. The influence of the coupling strength of thegap junction is the major focus. The sufficient condition for the completesynchronization is given in the end. To prove the theory on the experiment, we usenonlinear dynamics method to analyse the electrical signal time series evoked fromthe Zu'san'li point by different kinds of the acupuncture methods. After reconstructingthe phase space and computing the largest Lyapunov component, we get theconclusion that the series are chaos. This is prepared for later system experiment.
