Part 1 The therapeutic effect of oat B-glucans on experimentalhyperlipemia in ratsObjective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of oat B-glucans on blood lipid and hepatic impairment in experimental hyperlipemic rats .Methods: 35 male SD rats and 35 female SD rats averagely weighed 203.6±16.8g were randomly divided into normal control(10 rats) and duplicating model groups(60 rats). Rats in normal control group were fed with normal diet and rats in duplicating model groups fed with high fat diet for 7 weeks. After 3 weeks , 50 rats in duplicating model groups were divided into five model groups according to serum levels of total cholesterol. Then, three of the model groups were daily given oat 6-glucans 133, 266 and 533 mg/kg body weight respectively by intragastric administration for 4 weeks. One of the model groups were daily given chitosan oligosaccharide 200mg/kg . Serum levels of total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) were assayed before and after 3 and 4 weeks of administration. At the end of the experiment, Serum levels of ALT, AST, TC, LDL-C , HDL-C , TG, SOD , MDA, GSH-Px , LPL HL were determined, and the pathology assay of liver were analyzed. All data were expressed as means ±SD, and the analysis were performed with SPSS 11.0 for windows. Results:1 The weight of rats in 6-glucans groups were lost significantly compared with hyperlipemia control rats .The weight loss of rats in middle and high dose Oat8-glucans groups were higher significantly than rats in Chitosan oligosaccharidegroup.2 Levels of serum TC, LDL-C were decreased and HDL-C were increased in8-glucans groups compared with hyperlipemia control group. The effect of reducingserum lipid levels was more effective after 4weeks than that after 3weeks ofadministration, and Oat 8-glucans had obvious dose-dependence to reduce serum lipidlevels of rats.3 The serum levels of AST and ALT were higher significantly in hyperlipemia controlgroup than in normal control group, and were decreased in oat 8-glucans groups andChitosan oligosaccharide group compared with hyperlipemia control group, but thedifference was significant only between high dose oat 8-glucans group andhyperlipemia control group.4 The serum and liver levels of MDA were higher significantly in hyperlipemiacontrol group than in normal control group, and were decreased in oat 6-glucansgroups compared with hyperlipemia control group, but the difference of serum levelof MDA was significant only between high dose oat 8-glucans group andhyperlipemia control group. There was no significant difference in serum levels ofSOD and GSH-Px among all experimental groups.5 There was no significant difference in serum levels of LPL and HL among allexperimental groups.6 Pathology assay of liver with HE stain: The typical hepatic impairment changeswere observed in rats of hyperlipemia control group, and were alleviated in rats of oat8-glucans groups and chitosan oligosaccharide group. The rats of normal control groupshowed the normal histology of liver. Conclusion :1 . Oat 6-glucans could reduce weight of rats with hyperlipemia significantly.2 Oat 6-glucans could decrease serum lipid level of hyperlipemic rats significantly.3 Oat 8-glucans might increase the antioxidant capability of hyperlipemic rats.4 Oat 8-glucans might protect the liver of hyperlipemic rats from impairment.Part 2 The initial investigation of nutriology based on the theoryof Complex Adaptive SystemObjective: The theory of Complex Adaptive System(CAS) was applied to investigation of nutriology. The relationship between the influential factor of nutritional behavior and internal and external environment of person was analyzed according to the complex characteristic of nutriology. And the clinical nutritional management and research by computer simulation system was designed. Methods: A complexity theory and methods of nutritional study was present according to dietary guidelines for residents , the theory of traditional Chinese medicine dietetics and theory of modern human medicine. A nutritional simulation system was designed. The complexity of nutritional behavior and adaptability of personal behavior would be verified by analyzing the experimental and historical data. Conclusion : 1 -. The application of combining nutriology with the theory of Complex AdaptiveSystem need to be deep investigated.. 2^ The conceptual design of nutriology computer simulation system was present.
