Objective:1. To measure the amplitude and implicit time of P1 ,N1wave about multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) for the healthy people and diabetes patient. It was to analyse the difference of mfERG between the healthy people and diabetes patient. It was to observe the distinction of first order kernels and second order kernels of DR.2. To measure the amplitude of frontside about P2 ,N2wave for the healthy people and diabetes patient according to study result of local character for mfERG .To investigate the diagnostics value of using local character of mfERG between normal and NDR,BDR .Object and Method:1.Using Veris ScienceTM 5.0 system ( Electro-Diagnostic Imaging, San Mateo, CA, USA) to record the first order kernels and second order kernels waveform of mfERG separately about 120 eyes ,which is comprise of 30 eyes of control subjects (Normal);30 eyes of non-insulin dependent diabetes which had no apparent retinopathy (NDR);30 eyes of BDR;30 eyes of PDR,1 is the six ring waveform which circle the central visual filed ,ring 1(0.0°), ring 2(2.7°), ring 3(5.5°), ring 4(9.0°), ring 5(13.1°), ring 6(18.7°);2 is four quadrant wave , Sup.nasal, Sup.temp, Inf.temp, Inf.nasal .It was to analyse the amplitude and implicit time of P1 ,N1wave. Statistic analyse use spss software.The data is show by standard deviation and mean.Result is:the much difference limit according to P<0.05, the high difference limit according to P<0.01,the strong difference limit according to P<0.001.2. Using Veris ScienceTM 5.0 system (Electro-Diagnostic Imaging, SanMateo, CA, USA) to record the N2 frontside amplitude of first order kernels and P2 frontside amplitude of second order kernels waveform of mfERG separatelyabout 36 eyes ,which is comprise of 12 eyes of control subjects (Normal);12 eyes of non-insulin dependent diabetes which had no apparent retinopathy (NDR);12 eyes of BDR. The age range of all the object is from 61 to 70. Analyze the results use statistics test. Results:1. The result are :the response density topography and four quadrant wave,six ring waveform of NDR,BDR,PDR group are decreased gradually;the first order kernels and second order kernels response density of BDR,PDR is decreased;the first order kernels PI amplitude density of NDR is decreased obviously;the second order kernels amplitude density and implcit time of NDR is no visible change.2.The N2 frontside mean amplitude of first order kernels show obvious differencestrongly among normal ,NDR,BDR group .The P2 frontside mean amplitude of second order kernels show obvious difference among normal,NDR,BDR group . The N2 frontside mean amplitude of first order kernels show obvious difference between normal ,NDR group, The P2 frontside mean amplitude of second order kernels is no obvious difference between normal ,NDR group. Conclusion:1. The first order kernels PI amplitude density maybe sensitive index for diagnose NDR.2. When only inspect PI and Nl waveform.the first order kernels are likely to more sensitive than the second order kernels for diagnose NDR .3. The N2 frontside mean amplitude of first order kernels maybe the most sensitive index for diagnose NDR.4. The N2 frontside mean amplitude of first order kernels are more sensitive than the P2 frontside mean amplitude of second order kernels for diagnose NDR.
