Ribosome is the base of protein synthesis in cells. The compositions of the ribosome aremade in the nucleolars.RDNA as necleolar organizer reigon(NOR)can be transferred andtranslated to form nucleolar compositions by the action of the highly phosphatednon-histons---B28 and C23.The two kinds of non-histon,which are called Argyrophil Protein ofNecleolar Organizer Reigon(Ag—NOR),can be dyed to black or black-brown.Because the chromosomes or genes change abnormally, the activity of rDNA become sostrong that the number, size and shape of Ag-NOR change. Many literatures have reportedthat the characters of Ag-NOR stains changed with malignant degree of tumor in manytumors. We did tissues'slices of lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous carcinoma, big cellcarcinoma of lung, small cell carcinoma of lung and dyed them by AgNO3 and investigateand sum up the number, size and shape of Ag-NOR by computer image analysis system. In different pathological lung diseases instantaneously,we selected Lung phthisis andPapillary adenoma as comparison. The conclusion showed that the average number ofpositive particals per cell was 2.29±0.61 in Lung phthisis,2.91±0.89 in Papillary adenomaand 5.94±1.33 in lung cancers. The difference between benign and malignant pathologicalchanges are vary marked.(p<0.01)About shape,it becomes more and more irregular so that shape factor departure to 1 withthe aggravation increasing. In the meantime, particals types diversificate. In Lung phthisis and Papillary adenoma, they are sigal nucleolar type, but in different pathological lung cancers, they are disperse,mixed,collected,in-nuclrolar types and so on.Summarizing all kinds of indexes diversity,we can provide with cytology foundation fordiagnosing pathological type of lung disease correctly.
