Objective: io compare the number of hypoglycemic events in patients with type 2diabetes before, during and after the period of fasting in Ramadan. Methods: This is a prospective self control study. 30 Weiwuer patients with type 2 diabetes will be selected and treated with insulin glargine and glimepiride to achieve blood glucose controlled well. At the same time, we observe wehther there is the difference of the number of hypoglycemic events in patients with type 2 diabetes among before, during and after the period of fasting in Ramadan. Results: Under the treatment with insulin glargine and glimepiride, the number of hypoglycemic events in patients with type 2 diabetes before, during and after the period of fasting in Ramadan isn't different (p=0.238). Conclusion: The number of hypoglycemic events in patients with type 2diabetes treated with insulin glargine and glimepiride during the period of fasting in Ramadan doesn't increase.
