Study Of Gut Barrier Of Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy Of Neonatal Rats

Part One The Establishment of Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy Neonatal Rat ModelsObjective To study the changes of gut barrier of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy neonatal rats, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy neonatal rat models were established in first part. Methods 224 7-day-postnatal rats were randomly divided into acute ischemia (n=64), acute hypoxia (n=64), hypoxic-ischemic (n=64), sham operation (n=16) and control group (n=16). According to the hypoxia and /or ischemic time, the former 3 groups were divided into 0.5h , 1h , 3h , 6h these 4 secondary groups. Each secondary group has 16 rats. Establishment of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy models: unilateral common carotid artery ligation was carried out in 7-day-postnatal rats. 1 hour later they were exposed to 8% oxygen at 37 degrees C for 2.5 hours. Controls consisted of ones subjected to carotid ligation without subsequent hypoxia, hypoxia without prior ligation, separate carotid artery without ligation and hypoxia, and neither ligation nor hypoxia. Observe behaviors in hypoxia condition and brain changes in light microscope. Results Typical pathologic changes of HIE didn't occur in ischemic and hypoxia groups. In hypoxic-ischemic group the neonatal rats turned their bodies over slowlier and behaved turning right. In light microscope pyramidal cell pyknosis, it's core anachromasis and the blank around it enlarged. It had nerve cellularedema, gliocyte cellular proliferation, neuronophagia and colloid nodus. It also had intravascular pool, endotheliosis, widen lacouna aroud vessel and hemorrhage.
