The Correlation Study Of IL-18 And Myasthenia Gravis

Objective:To investigate the correlation between the serum level of interleukin-18(IL-18) in MG and the clinic score of MG,the serum level of AchRab and PsmRab in MG .Methods:The serum levels of IL-18,AchRab and PsmRab were detected with enzyme-linked immonosorbent assay(ELISA) in 40 MG patients,The serum levels of IL-18 were also detected in non-MG neuropath as a disease control (DC) while 16 healthy donors as a nomal control(NC).MG group was subdivided into subgroups according to their clinical absolute scores. The serum levels of IL-18 in 30 MG patients were detected before and after immunotherapy.Results:(1)The levels of IL-18 in MG were significantly higer than those in DC and NC group(P <0.001).(2)There was a positive correlation between the serum levels of IL-18 and the clinical absolute scores in MG patients(r=0.790, P <0.05). (3) The serum levels of IL-18 and the clinical absolute scores in 30 MG were decreased after immunochemitherapy(P <0.001),and there also was a positive correlation between the relative serum levels of IL-18 and the clinical relative scores(r=0.593, P <0.05).
