Objective: Osteoporosis is a kind of general bone disease, which has the characteristic of osteopenia and microstructure degenerating and results in bone fragility increase and inclining to bone fracture. Its characteristic is bone mass reducing and organic principle of bone matrix generating not enough and furthermore calcium salts decreasing. Osteoporosis and bone fracture brought by it are a multiple old-age disease, which mainly shows up in old people and post-menopause women. In the whole life of human being, bone is always in the process of new-old alteration, which means osteoclast absorbing old sclerotin and osteoblast forming new sclerotin. During the young period, many adjusting factors, such as general factors (parathyroid hormone, calcitionin, vitamin D,estrogen) and local factors (cell factors, nitrogen monoxidum, bone matrix) and physical agent and so on, affect osteoblast and osteoclast and make the two coordinate in harmony. Thus bone remodeling is in a positive balance and bone mass reach peak value. After women reach critique age, the level of estrogen reduces and bone loss keeps on, which result in postmenopausal osteoporosis. Estrogen replacement therapy can inhibit bone...
