Objective To investigate the changes of the coefficient of aqueous outflow after excimer laser operation. Methods 27 healthy mature cats(54 eyes) were randomize to three groups: control group, group A(LASIK), group B(LASEK). According to the ablation depth (0 diopter, -3 diopter, -6 diopter, -9 diopter), we randomized A, B groups into eight small groups(A1-4, B1-4).The coefficient of aqueous outflow were measured before the operation. According the different time spot (1week, 2week, 1month) after operation, the coefficient of aqueous outflow were measured again. The structures of trabecular meshwork were observed by histopathological method and transmission electron microscope one month after operation. Results The mean value of C- value is 0.4591 ± 0.1116μl/min.mmHg, there is no statistical difference between group A and group B (P>0.05), either among different ablation depths (, P>0.05).There is no statistical difference among different time spots (1week, 2week,1month) (P>0.05).Under the observation of light microscopy and transmission electron microscope, the structure of the cat trabecular meshwork has little variation after operation. Conclusions The excimer laser operation has no obvious influence in the structure and function of the angle of the cat in the early stage.
