Objective:To study the protective effects of tea polyphenol(TP)on focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats and changes of BDNF content in cerebral ischemic region.Method:Adult male SD were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group, TP25mgï¹’kg-1 group,TP50mgï¹’kg-1 group, TP100mgï¹’kg-1 group three dose groups TP(25 mgï¹’kg-1,50 mgï¹’kg-1,100mgï¹’kg-1 respectively) and nimodipine(Nim) group. The rats cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury was induced by modified method of intraluminal thread. Effects of TP improving on neurological dysfunction and pathologic change of brain,BDNF expressed in brain infracted center area and brain peripheral infracted area were investigated.Results:1.Compared with the model group, the neurological grades of TP50mgï¹’ kg-1 group,TP100mgï¹’ kg-1 group and Nim group were significantly decreased(P<0.001) and neurological dysfunction with injury after cerebral ischemia- reperfusion(I/R) were improved. TP25mgï¹’kg-1 group had no effect on neurological function score reduced significantly(P>0.05).2.Compared with the model group, the (neuronal cells necrosis,) pathological changes induced by I/R of the TP50 mgï¹’kg-1 ,TP100 mgï¹’kg-1 and Nim group were mitigated.3.Effect on BDNF expression3.1 In brain infracted center area, comparing with model group, TP50 mgï¹’kg-1 group,TP100 mgï¹’kg-1 group and Nim group increased BDNF...
