Substance P (SP ) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) have been found within periodontal tissues and markedly increase during and after the orthodontic tooth movement (OTM),but the roles and mechanisms of SP and CGRP in OTM tissue remodelling process remain to be determined. In this study we cultured rat osteoblasts and examined their activities after the treatment with SP and CGRP. The results are as follows :1. Osteoblast cell culture in vitro and its identificationBy enzyme digestion and tissue explanting, calvaria of newborn SD rat was employed for the primary culture of osteoblasts. and the primary cells were purified . Osteoblastic cells were identified by Using alkaline phosphatase (ALP),Von kossa and tetracycline staining techniques. 2. Effects of SP on the proliferation and ALP activity of osteoblastsWith addition of the end concentration of 0,1×10-12,1×10-10, 1×10-(8), 1×10-6, mol/L on osteoblasts, effects of SP on the proliferation and ALP activity of osteoblasts were observed. Compared with the control group,It...
