The technique of deep hypothermia circulatory arrest (DHCA) has been main used in the operations of aneurysm of thoracic aorta and neonatus complicated congenital heart disease, it can step down the rate of cerebral metabolism and relieve the ischemia damage of central nervous systems (CNS).But study and research indicate that the CNS damage and case fatality ratio have linear correlation with the circulatory arrest time, so the interval for arrest is limited. The time limited for arrest prevent some complicated operations, which need longer arrest time,from being operated.With the maturity of cardiosurgery technic, CNS complication after operation increasingly become the focus which we observe. Under the condition of DHCA , the brain tissue is in a relative ischemic situation, and the inflammatory reaction take the important role in ischemia brain damage.
