Objective: To study the relationship between spv gene on Salmonella typhi plasmid pRST98 and the dendritic cells in specific immune response. Methods: Salmonella typhi is a kind of pathogen,which is only strictly infected to human being and no animal model. We used Salmonella typhimurium which is closely related to Salmonella tyhpi to study the function of spv gene on Salmonella typhi plasmid pRST98. pRST98 was transferred into an attenuated strain Salmonella typhimurium RIA who has an animal model and clear genetic background. The conjugant is called pRST98/RIA. A standard strain that has a 100kb virulence plasmid was used as a positive control and RIA as a negative one.1. C57BL/6 (B6) pure breed mice were randomly assigned to three experiment groups. They were intra-peritoneal (i.p.) injected with SR-11, pRST98/RIA or RIA while the control group with PBS, respectively. Spleen was obtained at the indicated time intervals later.
