Research On Inactivation Of Tumor Suppressor Gene RASSF1A In Breast Cancer | Posted on:2007-12-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Y M Li | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360185479200 | Subject:Genetics | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Breast cancer is one of most common malignant tumors and there was a growth tendency in its incidency in recent years. It is key for improving survival rate of breast cancer patients to diagnose and treatment early. DNA methylation is one method of gene modification. Promoter methylation always happens earlier than tumorigenesis or at the early stage of cancer development. Therefore promoter methylation may be a molecular biology marker for early tumor diognosis.RASSF1A gene is a candidate tumor suppressor gene found in 2000. Research in abroad found that rare mutation was in RASSF1A and promoter methylation of RASSF1A was main cause of its inactivation. Also the incidency of promoter methylation in breast cancer was high and it may be one marker of early breast cancer diognosis.Research indicated that tumorigenesis has certain nation related background. There hasn't no reports on RASSF1A promoter methylation and its expression in breast cancer in China. Our studies aimed at RASSF1A promoter methylation' influences on its transcription and expression as well as the relationship between its promoter methylation and breast cancer' tumorigenesis and progression in Chinese diverging...
