Part I: DIFFERENTIATION OF HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS INTO NEURON-LIKE CELLS IN VITROObective: An embryonic stem cell line was established from clonally reconstructed blastocyst by transferring human somatic nucleus derived from lymphocyte into healthy enucleated rabbit oocytes. The aim was to establish an appropriate and effective culture system for producing neurons derived from embryonic stem cells, which would provide cell sources for transplantation while treating diseases of nervous system.Methods: Human embryonic stem cells were separated from mouse embryonic fibroblasts, floated as embryoid bodies for 4,6,8,10days,and then plated to induce neural stem cell.The neural stem cell were isolated and pelleted and tested for the neural precursor markers nestin, as well as their potential of differentiation into neurons.
