【Objective】To study the distribution of Candida in clinical samples and their susceptibility to antifungal drugs; To provide reference to clinical medication and prognosis about Candida albicans infected; To study the expression of Candida albicans drug resistance 1(CDR1) and Candida albicans multidrug resistance 1(CaMDR1) of Candida albicans; To analyze the relationship between the expression and drug resistant levels; To analyze the relationship between the expression and the virulence of Candida albicans.【Method】The data about clinical albicans infection were analyzed. Candida albicans isolated from respiratory tract were collected and analyzed. The drug resistant levels and virulence of Candida albicans were detected. The quantity of CDR1 and CaMDR1 were analyzed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR, then the relationship among the virulence, the susceptibility and the expression were detected. The sequences of CDR1 were detected by DNA sequencing.【Result】In portion to total, Candida albicans were more than 60%, and infections in respiratory tract were the most. The total resistance to 5-Fluorocytosine, Amphotericin, Fluconazole and Itraconazole of Candida albicans were 2.34%, 2.34%, 39.06%, 50%. Over-expression of CaMDR1 was observed in the strains of drug resistance and higher virulence. Over-expression of CDR1 was observed in the strains of higher virulence. No over-expression of CDR1 and CaMDR1 was observed at the presence of fluconazole.【Conclusion】The infection of Candida albicans was at the first place in hospital infections. And respiratory tract infections were the most in proportion. Majority of the patients were the old. Candida albicans had high resistance to azoles antifungal drugs. Resistance to Itraconazole was notable. Over-expression of CaMDR1 was relevant to drug resistance and virulence of Candida albicans. Over-expression of CDR1 was relevant to virulence of Candida albicans. CDR1 and CaMDR1 of resistant strains were not up-regulated following fluconazole exposure.
