Objectives: In order to clarify the anatomical relations of the dependency anatomical constructions in the operational way of the transsphenoidal approach, cadaveric heads were dissected and operated under microscope. To get data of Chinese individual anatomical relations of bones, nerves and vessels by statistics and analysis. At the same time, we collect 12 patients'image by using Discovery Ultra 16 scan and reconstruct the 3-D and virtual endoscopy image for dependency amatomic structures in the operational way of transsphenoidal approach,so as to provide the important parameters of microdissection and imaging anatomy for the transsphenoidal approach. Methods: The nose, nasal septum, sphenopalatine artery, anterior region of the aperture of sphenoidal sinus, sphenopalatine artery and adjacent structures of hypophysial fossa were dissected, observed, measured and photographed in different operational angle under the operation microscope by use 15 adult cadaveric heads and 20 adult cranial bones. Collecting 12 patients who were given the lamellar imaging examination with Discovery Ultra 16, the initial scanning data were done cross section reconstruction about the anatomic structures under diaphragm of sella turcica and transmitted to the senior workstation then. We reconstructed the 3-D and virtual endoscopy image about nasal septum, frontal area of the apertura of sphenoidal sinus, sphenopalatine foramen, sphenopalatine artery and sphenoidal sinus use Volume Rendering, Multiplanar Reformation, Virtual Endoscopy and Curved Planar Reformat, and measured and ,about undertaked The nose, nasal septum, sphenopalatine artery, anterior region of the aperture of sphenoidal sinus, sphenopalatine artery and adjacent structures of hypophysial fossa were dissected, observed, measured and analysised the dependency anatomic structure at the same time.
