【Objective】: To detect expression levels of Notch1 receptor on peripheralblood lymphocytes (PBLs) surface in kidney transplant recipients andinvestigate its clinical significance in AR.【Materials and Methods】: We obtainted and detected 84 blood samplesfrom kidney transplant recipients who were divided into 4 groups: Acuterejection (AR) group,Chronic rejection (CR) group ,Acute tubular necrosis(ATN) group and renal function stable group by clinical manifestation andrenal needle biopsy.18 receptors in AR group detect levels of Notch1receptor on PBLs surface again after AR reversed.【Results】: When compared CR group(2.01±0.65)%,function stable group(1.94±0.45)% and renal ATN group (1.72±0.45)%,AR group (5.81±1.14)%displayed a significant increase in notch1 MFI level (P<0.05). however,no difference was found among the left 3 groups (P>0.05). 18 patients whoexperienced AR had further blood sampling during AR and after theirinversions. The difference expression of Notch1 receptor in PBL betweenthe two immunosuppressant combination(Tac+MMF+Pre and CsA+MMF+Pre)has no statistics significant. So does the the difference expression ofNotch1 receptor in PBL between the two subgroups(acute cellularityrejection and acute vascellum rejection) in AR group.【Conclusions】: 1.Notch1 receptor expression level elevates on PBLssurface when AR taken place, which will help AR diagnosis. 2. Theobviously descent of PBLs' notch1 receptor expression level after ARreversed may help to supervise the therapeutic efficacy of AR.
