The article focused on the study of terpene component (extraction and separation, component identification, content detection) and bioactivity of pinecone from Pinus koraiensis. The GC-MS was used to analyze the volatile oil, 32 kinds of constituents were identified; most of them are monterpene and semiterpene. The optimized extraction condition: the ratio between material and water is 1:5; marinating time 0.5 h,refluence time 20 min, distillation time 4.0 h. Refluence method was adopted to extract the effective components. Used chloroform and ethyl acetate as the elution solvent to collect the terpene components. The chloroform part, which has good anti-cancer activity, was studied on separation and purification. TLC method was adopted to select condition and column chromatogram method was adopted to separate. Active terpene compound dehydroabietic acid was gained, which content in the pinecone is 0.373% by HPLC detection. Detection of terpene content was studied by Spectrophotometry. Standard equation is A=0.0306C+0.00308, R=0.9998; linearity range is 4.0~32.0 mg/L. Precision and repeatability of the method is good. The acute toxicity trial was processed by Horn method; the result is extract of pinecone is no toxicity in practice. The anti-tumor, anti-inflammation and analgesic activity of extracts was studied by medical trial. The active parts and their action were confirmed. The results: 95% ethanol, chloroform and ethyl acetate parts have obvious anti-tumor activity and relative stronger action on BGC-823 cell, activity of chloroform part is stronger; 95% ethanol, acetone and water parts have obvious anti-inflammation activity; activity of 95% ethanol is stronger; 95% ethanol and water parts have obvious analgesic activity, activity of water part is stronger.
