Objective : To determine the level of plasma osmotic pressure, serum sodium,Glucose and blood urea nitrogen at different time of patients of traumatic brain injury, referring to patient's GCS age and GOS at time of finishing treatments, We investigate the correlation between patient's age and plasma osmotic pressure., research the relationship between serum sodium, glucose, blood urea nitrogen and plasma osmotic pressure, and analysis the correlation between plasma osmotic pressure and GCS,prognosis of traumatic brain injuries. Finally we evaluate the value of plasma osmotic pressure to the treatment and prognosis for patients. Methods: From Jan 2002 to Nov 2005, 316 patients with traumatic brain injury were selected for this research. According to the severity of traumatic brain injury, 316 patients were randomly classified into four groups: I GCS3-5, 47 cases;â…¡GCS6-8, 52cases;â…¢GCS9-12, 114cases;â…£GCS13-15, 103. The blood samples of every group were tested in 30 minutes after admission. Total groups were examined one time a day in 3 days, others except groupâ…£were analyzed 3 days later before treatment of...
