Object : New pathogenesy of diabetic gastroparesis (DGP) by detecting the relative mRNA and protein expression level of stem cell factor(SCF) in rats'gastric wall of DGP model induced by feeding with special food rich in lipid and intraperitoneal injection of small dose streptozotocin(STZ) through reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and western-blotting(WB).Methods: A total of 75 healthy male Wistar rats were divided into two groups: normal control(group C, 15) and diabetic mellitus(group DM, 60). The latter were fed with special food rich in lipid for two months and then injected with small dose of streptozotocin(STZ) into intraperitoneal. Three months later, group DM were divided into three groups: DGP(group D, 20), therapy of Cisapride(group X, 20) and Atropine test(group A, 20). After two months agents-treating, the function of gastric emptying of all rats'and the expression of SCF, including mRNA and protein in gastric walls, were detected through reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and western-blotting(WB).
