Mosquitos not only bite and harass human beings, but also transmit many kinds of diseases, such as Malaria, Filariasis, Dengue Fever, Encephalitis B and Yellow Fever. Mosquito prevention is the important measure to control the diseases transmitted by mosquitos, expecially to some mosquito transmitted diseases (such as Dengue Fever), so vector-control is the only effective way to prevent the producing and prevalence of these diseases up to now.At present, chemical prevention is the major measure to prevent mosquitos. The traditional chemical synthetic insecticides are organochlorine (such as DDT, BBH), orgnaophosphorus (such as MLT), carbamates and so on. Although these insecticides are highly effective to the target insects, they are also harmful to human beings and other kinds of animals. After being used fora long-time, "3R" problems------"resistance, residue, and re-rampancy" havebeen brought by these insecticides. With more and more attentions being paid to environmental protection, greater and greater pressure has been faced to use the traditional chemical insecticides. It is an important project in the area of chemical prevention to exploit some new insecticides which are high effective, low poisonous, and not easy to emerge resistance.
