Corneal allograft is the most effective treatment for corneal blindness, but corneal graft rejective reaction is the main cause of corneal allograft. Corneal neovascularization (CNV) is one of the most causes of corneal blindness and the high-risk factor of corneal graft rejective reaction.Thus.how to prevent and treat corneal graft rejective reaction and Corneal neovascularization is the emphasis in the research area of corneal disease. It is currently accepted that corneal graft rejective reaction is a complicate reaction course which is led by T lymphocyte, the over-activation of cytokine and adherence factor participate corneal graft rejective reaction.Nuclear factor- κB (NF-κB) is a protein transcription factor first identified by Sen and Baltimore . Its functions are to enhance the transcription of a variety of genes.including cytokines and growth factors, adhesion molecules, immunoreceptor and acute-phase proteins which mediate inflammatory and immune responses. In quiescent cells,NF- κB is sequestered in the cytoplasm through its interaction with the inhibitors IκB , it can be activated by a variety of stimuli, including bacterial endotoxin,IL-l,mitogens and certain chemical agents, following activition, the inhibitory units degraded and NF- κB transfers from cytoplasm to cell nucleus,...
