Quality Of Life And Associated Factors Of Recruits Of South China Armed Police Before And After The Basic Military Training

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to assess the level of quality of life(QOL)among recruits of south china armed police before and after the Basic Military Training to find out the main factors influencing their QOL, to reveal effects of sociological factors, personality, coping style on their QOL, thus to provide basis and guidance for the formulation of effective intervening strategies to improve their QOL. MethodsBy random group sampling,820 recruits of south China armed police were investigated using questionnaires survey during the period from January to April in the year of 2005.The questionnaires was composed of Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire , Eysenck Personality(EPQ) ,WHOQOL-BREF.The database was established and statistic analysis were performed using SPSS11.5 and statistic methods included descriptive analysis, t test, One-Way ANOVA, Chi-Square, and regression analysis.
