The roots or roots barks of Morus alba L.that belongs to Moraceae.are the only resource of Traditional Chinesse Medicine "Sangbaipi" recorded in the Pharmacopecia of People's Republic of China (ed. 2000).As a commonly used drug for resolving phlegm .promoting pus discharge and subduing carbuncles. In this thesis, the chemical constituents of the extract with ethanol from root bark of morus alba were studied.15compounds were isolated from the extracts by ethanolic from the root bark of morus alba with macro porous resins(D101), silica gel, polyamide, etc. on the basis of analysis of UV, IR, NMR, MS data and measuring of physic-chemical characters, the structures of 13 compounds were elucidated as (2', 4', 5—trihydroxy—3— (γ , γ ,γ —hydroxy —dimethyl) propyl—2", 2" —dimethylpyrano— (5", 6": 6, 7 ) - flavone ,1), (6,4' -dimethoxy-5 , 7 , 3 ' -trihydroxyisoflavone , 2 ) , ( 7-methoxy-5 , 4' -dihydroxyflavanonol, 3 ) , ( 6-methoxy-5 , 7 , 4' -trihydroxyisoflavone, 4), liriodendrin (5), (3-acetyl-α-amyranol, 6), (3-acetyl-α-amyranol, 7) , (Oleanolic acid, 8), (Ursolic acid, 9), (3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid, 10), (3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-benzaldehyde, 11), ( β-sitosterol, 12) , (daucosterol, 13) respectively.. Of all these compounds, compound 2, 3, 4 and 5 were isolated for the first time from morus Alba L.
