Objective: To observe the clinical results of aortic aneurysms by endovascular stent-graft exclusion and assess the feasibility, safety , the prevention and treatment of complications of this mothod. To conclude the experience and value of domestic stent-graft to cure aortic aneurysms.Materials and methods: Endovascular exclusion was performed on thirty-five patients with Stanford B aortic dissections (n=22), Stanford A aortic dissection (n=1) and abdominal aortic saccular aneurysms (n=11). Stent-grafts were chosen on the basis of spiral CT or MRI or DSA. All stent-grafts were constructed of stainless steel or Ni-Ti alloy stents covered with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE). Imported stent-grafts were used in 23 patients and domestic stent-grafts in 12. Vascular access was achieved through the femoral artery in all patients. The anesthetic technique was general . Clinical status of each patient was monitored postoperatively and CT scan or aortic angiography was performed at 3-6-month intervals after the procedures. Results: Except one conversion to open surgery, all primary entry tears of aortic dissections and inlets of abdominal aortic aneurysms were excluded. The technical success rate was 97.1 % (aortic dissection:23/23=100 % ;abdominal aortic aneurysms: 11/11=91.6%). During hospitalization, complications were detected in 18 patients (18/35=51.4%), 15 developped...
