Objective: To value the preliminary clinical application of diffusion tensor imaging in cerebral infarction by studying the changing regulation of apparent diffusion coefficient and fraction anisotrophy. Methods: 11 patients with acute cerebral infarction of internal carotid system were selected for the study. Every patient was imaged with DTI in ten days and everyone was assessed with NIHSS and FMA at the same time. About one month later this work was repeated. The pictures of two times were sent to GE Advantage 4.0 workstation and were analyzed by Function tool soft, finally the ADC imaging and FA imaging were reconstructed. We measured ADC value and FA value, and analyzed the data with SPSS soft.Result: The FA value of the focus side in the first time has statisticssignificances (P<0.05) with the one in the second time. And other valuesuch as the ADC value of the focus side has no difference. The changeof FA value of the focus side has correlation with the change of FMA(r=0.716, P<0.05) .Conclusions: The FA value can express the change in cerebral infarction more precisely than the ADC value. The change of the FA value proved to a certain extent that CNS may has plasticity and it may be...
