OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relativety of thresholds in the toneburst-ABR and pure-tone audiogram in order to clinical application of the toneburst-ABR in estimating hearing sensitivity.METHOD: The pure-tone audiogram and the response thresholds of toneburst-ABR and click-ABR were recorded from 31 adults(62 ears) with sensorineural hearing loss at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 kHz.The behavioral thresholds of toneburst-ABR and click-ABR were recorded from 10 normal hearing adults(20 ears) at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 kHz .The results were performed using statistical analysis software(SPSS11.5).RESULT: ①At 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 kHz,the average of the pure-tone audiogram were 46.9 ±17.8,51.1± 19.4,53.1±19.0,58.1± 20.3;the average of the response thresholds of toneburst-ABR were 59.0±15.8, 63±17.9, 63.6±18.2, 64.9±17.8; the average of the response thresholds of click-ABR was 63.1± 16.7. ②The differences between the response threshold of toneburst-ABR and the pure-tone audiogram were 12.2±6.2,12.0±6.5,10.5±4.8,6.8±5.9 at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4...
