Guided bone regeneration (GBR) technique is often used in cases of bone defect and often found infecting around the membrane. To decrease the biomaterials centered infection, the membrane with both antibacterial properties and good biocompatibility should be developed. This study focused on preparation and antibacterial effect of Ag-nHA-nTiO2/Polyamide-66 membrane against supra- and infra-gingival bacteria. The composites slurry was prepared by co-polymerization method with nanoparticles slurry and Polyamide-66. The Ag-nHA-nTiO2 content in the composite was 60%wt and that of nHA was 40%wt (as control). The membrane was prepared by dip-coating technique and fabricated pore structure. The chemical components were characterized by XRD. The elements distribution inside the membrane and the surface morphology was detected by SEM/EDX. Levels of Ag+ release from membranes in distilled water were measured by AAS after 1 day and 3 months. A homogeneous distribution of the Ca, P, Ti, and Ag in the membrane was confirmed by SEM/EDX. Both surface...
