Objective: To study the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization on inhibitor apoptosis protein-Survivin and Survivin mRNA in hepatocellular carcinoma, and the relationship between Survivin and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods: Group of hepatocellular carcinoma with preoperative transcatheter arterial chemoembolizaton 26 cases(A group; TACE group),Group of hepatocellular carcinoma without TACE 30 cases(B group; only operation group),group of Normal liver tissue 16 cases (C group; normal group) .In situ hybridization was used to detect the expression of Survivin mRNA; Immunohistochemical S-P method was used to detect the expression of Survivin; Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) was used to detect the apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma.Result: 1,The positive Survivin mRNA expression is observed in 14 out of 26(53.85%) in the tissues of carcinoma in A group, and 24 out of 30(80.00%) in the tissues of carcinoma in B group. There is significant difference between these two groups(P<0.05);The grey difference is 19.32±4.16 in the tissues of carcinoma in A group, and 31.80±5.58 in the tissues of carcinoma in B group. There is significant difference between these two groups(P<0.05). There is no expression of Survivin mRNA in the matched adjacent nontumor tissues in A,B group and the normal liver tissues. 2,The positive Survivin expression is observed in 12 out of 26(46.15%) in the tissues of carcinoma in A group, and 22 out of 30(73.33%) in the tissues of carcinoma in B group. There is significant difference between these two groups(P < 0.05);The grey difference is...
