Comparative Study Of Pre-operative And Post-operative Myocardial Enzyme, Cardiactroponin T, And C-reactive Protein Between LC And OC In Geriatric Cholelithiasis Patients.

Objective To study the effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC) on the heart in geriatric patients and to assess the efficacy and safety of the operation. Method 61 cases of geriatric cholelithiasis patients were selected. Among them 31 cases of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC)in LC group and 30 cases of Open cholecystectomy (OC)in OC group . CK, CK-MB, LDH, AST, LD-1 HBDH, cTnT, C-reactive protein were taken in the pre operative , intra operative and post operative periods respectively. The data were organized and analyzed statistically and compared between the two groups and with in groups. Result There is statistical difference in AST, CK, CK-MB, LDH, LD-1, CRP, cTnT, in the pre-operation and post-operation different time interval of OC group. statistical difference in AST, CK, LDH, LD-1, cTnT, in the pre-operation and post-operation different time interval of LC group. No statistical difference between CK, CK-MB, LDH, AST, HBDH, cTnT,CRP between LC and OC group(p<0.05). Conclusion Intervention of surgery(LC or OC) may effect myocardial enzyme, cardiotroponinT and C reactive protein in geriatric cholelithiasis patients. But most of these changes are almost within the normal range. No severe myocardial enjury developed in both LC and OC. The comparison between LC and OC reveals almost same effect to heart function. C- reactive protein level is significantly higher in OC group than in LC group which reveals LC is less invasive than OC in geriatric cholelithiasis patients.
